Prudent Value is an independent, fee-based Registered Investment Advisor ("RIA") to individuals, business owners, trust programs, and charitable institutions. Our investment process is based on the work of Benjamin Graham and David Dodd (founders of modern securities analysis and first proponents of value investing). To this, we add Warren Buffett's approach to focus within our circle of competence. In short, we are value-focused investors looking for high quality assets at a discount price.

Our business is structured to provide unbiased and objective advice. Since we are a fee-based advisor, we neither profit from trading commissions nor by how many financial products sold to you. Instead, our fees are based on the growth of your account, so that our interests are aligned with yours. Further, we commit a large portion of our own assets with Prudent Value. To that end, we eat our own cooking and view our investors as partners. We offer no-load and cost-competitive programs to investors. For instance, we offer an attractive program where no fees are incurred until a minimum performance target is met (modeled similarly to the original Buffett Partnership agreement). Our investment approach is research intensive and includes in-house valuation models that calculate intrinsic value. Intrinsic value is an economic concept, estimating an asset's economic worth. Our goal is to acquire high quality assets whose market prices are selling at large discounts to their intrinsic values.
